PaperArtsy Challenge : Words

The latest challenge at PaperArtsy is "Words"

I decided to use a lovely "Imagine" stamp (I do not know who it is made by) as my main focus. The card behind the stamp is Fresco Paint Moonlight.

For the main background I painted with Eggplant, then used a daisy stencil with Lilac. I washed it over with watered down Snowflake, and then stamped Snowflake and Ink&the Dog Mini 22

PaperArtsy Challenge : Sprays

For the last 2 weeks the challenge over at PaperArtsy has been Sprays.
I don't have many sprays, as they have never really featured in my cards, but I do have some Tattered Angel sprays in the back of the cupboard...
These are not as vibrant as some of the ones used today, so I decided to use them over the paint background as more of a shimmer.

Following  Sara Naumann's recent post I used Fresco paints (Pumpkin Soup, Paprika and London Bus) and brayered them onto the card. I then sprayed a lot of Tattered Angels Gold, copper and autumn leaves and dried it off. It really changed the feel of the card, making it feel almost tacky.
I stamped using Snowflake and Mini 44, Mini 22 and with grey ink Mini 72
The main stamps are JOFY 23 and JOFY 24 and JOFY mini 33
The sentiment is ELB03
The flowers are painted with Fresco paints in London Bus, Claret, Tango, Yellow Submarine and Hey Pesto

PaperArtsy Challenge : Grunge Paste 2

I so enjoyed making the last card, I thought I'd try again with a few changes.
This is for the PaperArtsy challenge : Grunge paste
This time I tinted the grunge paste with Fresco Paint Chocolate Pudding, so that the brown showed through when I sanded back the paint layers. The paint was added with cut 'n dry foam instead of a paintbrush, giving a softer texture. (I used Pumpkin Soup, Haystack,Yellow Submarine)
The stamps are all from JOFY Collection 30

PaperArtsy challenge : Grunge Paste

The current challenge over at PaperArtsy is Grunge Paste. Messy and fun!
I have created a card that has drawn from many places : Jo Firth-Young, Wanda Hentges and Lou Collins.
I started with smoothy white stamping card, and put grunge paste through a honeycomb style stencil. I then painted with Fresco paints (pumpkin soup, haystack, yellow submarine and tango)
I sanded back the paint over the grunge paste and highlighted with treasure gold (an idea from Leandra in her GP intro)
The stamps are JOFY mini 44 and JOFY collection 30.

PaperArtsy challenge : paint (again)

Well, my new JOFY30 stamps arrived, and I just had to make a card!
(sorry I cant link to them as they are not on the PA website yet), but have a look at Jo Firth-Young's blog to see the stamps, and my inspiration for this card. Thank you Jo!

I used smoothy card, and covered it with Fresco Acrylic Paint : Vanilla and Haystack
I also used a honeycomb style stencil with Pumpkin soup to create the background
I stamped in Sepia with the honeycomb from JOFY30.
On separate smoothy card (covered in Vanilla), I stamped the beehive, bee and sentiment. I coloured them with pencils.
